Beauty and History All in One Amazing Place

Hello everyone! I am sure everyone is excited that the weekend is finally here. Here in Arizona, summer is upon us. Although it is much quieter around here during the summer months, there are plenty of rides to enjoy in the mornings and evenings. I must say there is no better sunset then on a summer evening here by the Superstition Mountains. The colors that cover the sky are magnificent. The Superstition Mountains do not only provide a unique view, but they also have a wealth of history. Of course, there is the famous story of the Lost Dutchman Mine. For those of you that do not know the legend, in the late 1800s, a German immigrant by the name of Jacob Waltz located a very rich gold mine within the Superstition Mountains. As the story goes, he kept the whereabouts of the mine secret and those secrets died with him in 1891. Since then, people from all over the world have come to the Superstition Mountains to search for Jacob Waltz’s treasure, the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine.

This weekend was a beautiful weekend to go riding at the O.K. Corral. A large group of Girl Scouts came out this weekend. They learned about what it takes to care for a horse, learned some lingo and took a ride. :)
